Privacy notice

This notice covers the ChaosData waitlist. Accounts are not open yet; when they launch we will publish a full privacy policy.
Who is responsible
ChaosData, reachable at hello@chaosdata.net.
What we collect
- The email address you enter, and the optional note about what you would use ChaosData for.
- A coarse client network prefix and the browser's user-agent string, to spot abuse. We do not store your full IP address, and there are no analytics or tracking cookies on this site.
Why
To gauge interest and to email you when accounts open. We rely on your consent: nothing is recorded until you click the confirmation link we send you (a double opt-in).
How long we keep it
Until 30 days after accounts launch, or 12 months, whichever comes first. You can withdraw at any time by emailing us, and we will delete your address.
Who we share it with
Only our own database host and the email provider we use to send the confirmation, both acting on our instructions. We do not sell your data.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected or deleted, or object to how we use it. Email hello@chaosdata.net and we will act on the request.
Changes
We will update this page if our practices change.
